How to find a trustworthy company to service your air conditioner.

When your air conditioner has a malfunction or just needs maintenance, how do you know who to call, how do you know if the technician telling the truth, is it a good price. That’s everybody’s worry, and for good reason. There are a lot of dishonest companies around and its very hard to find a good one.

I'm going to give you the homeowner a few tips to finding an honest company.

First off, do not call the first company that pops up.

Heres how you find an honest ac repair service in las vegas

The best way is obviously a strong referral, knowing somebody who’s had a good experience last time there ac was broken. So ask around maybe your friends or neighbors have a good guys phone number.

If not that’s ok, I can help you. Ok, lets say you know nobody and have no idea who to call, your hot and need someone fast. Just do this.

  1. Do a google search for ac repair las vegas or ac repair and whatever city you live in.
  2. Find a few companies who have good 5 star reviews showing on the front page. Im here to tell you those reviews are real. Google is very good about flagging fake reviews.
  3. Now you have the list of positive review companies. Take that and search there name on the better business bureaus website to see if they have any recent complaints. Its hard for any company to not have a single negative review but the good guys will have either none or maybe 1-2 over the last 5 years but if they have a complaint that went unanswered, then don’t call them. Also make sure the company you choose has an A+ rating with the bbb.
  4. You can also search sites like yelp or yp.com to search reviews, but those sites are less trustworthy than google or the BBB.
  5. Now you’ve narrowed your search down to 2 or 3 companies with all at least 95% positive reviews, take those and call the companies, ask them question about pricing, a reputable honest company will not have a problem discussing money with you over the phone.
  6. Ask them how long they have been in business as the average expected life expectancy of an air conditioning repair company is 24 months. You need a company that’s been in business for 5+ years as they have proven they know what it takes to stay in business and you want to make sure they will be around to honor  the 1 year parts and labor warranty they should give you.
  7. Finally when the repair technician does show up, he should arrive in a truck fully stocked with tools and all the parts he might need. If he shows up in a pickup truck with no labels SEND HIM AWAY. Remember, only sales men arrive with no parts. If hes a technician he will have parts. Now be careful a lot of companies send out men pretending to be repair men but are really there to sell you a new unit. You can identify those companies by the vehicle they arrive in, it should have ladders and parts. Also if the repair guy talks about a new unit then says he cant sell anything hes gonna have his sales guy come out. SEND HIM AWAY, your about to get taken for a ride.

There’s a few trick that should keep you the homeowner safe from sales men posing as technicians.
